Why The Gulf South?

Our initial focus is the six-state region of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. This area is home to over 4 million veterans and faces unique legislative pressures to harden soft targets.

Safety Alert Patrol (SAP) was born in Louisiana from a simple but profound realization: our communities are facing unprecedented security challenges, while thousands of our nation’s most highly trained protectors are returning home looking for a new mission.

As public institutions grapple with rising threats and strict legislative mandates for armed security, budget constraints often force them to settle for under-trained, minimum-wage private security. Meanwhile, combat veterans and retired law enforcement officers—individuals with decades of experience in threat assessment, crisis management, and de-escalation—are vastly underutilized in the civilian workforce.

SAP was created to solve both problems. By operating as a nonprofit, we bridge the financial gap, ensuring schools, churches, and hospitals get elite protection while providing our veterans with competitive compensation and a renewed sense of purpose.

Our Mission: To provide a visible, professional deterrent to threats while restoring a sense of purpose to those who have served. We function as a "force multiplier" for local law enforcement, ensuring that schools, churches, and hospitals have the protection they need without draining public police resources.

Our Vision: A nationwide network of protection where retired heroes find meaningful service and communities find cost-effective safety.

Commitment to Transparency: As a [registered/pending] 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we believe in radical transparency. Every dollar donated goes directly toward subsidizing the cost of security for budget-constrained schools, covering rigorous psychological and background vetting, and funding specialized de-escalation training for our Guardians.
